The Climate Justice Project
Our Campaign
The Climate Justice Project intends to raise and illustrate public support for Contraction & Convergence. The Project is a student-led initiative, that is rapidly expanding throughout the UK. Our ultimate aim is to have Contraction & Convergence adopted internationally.
Project targets
By the close of phase one of this campaign on the 1st May 2007, we aim to have:
1. The NUS pass a motion in support of Contraction & Convergence
2. 30 Student Unions pass motions in support of Contraction & Convergence
3. 2000 people sign the Contraction & Convergence petition to the UK government
4. People writing to their MPs, urging them to act on Contraction & Convergence.
Our Logo
Our logo represents the adoption of Contraction & Convergence internationally. The green circle denotes the Earth, and the white lines represent Contraction & Convergence. Our logo is based on the logo of the Global Commons Institute, an organisation that we work closely with.
